Business casual help?

Question: So i have a job interview that i'm gonna wear a suit for, but there is an info session that i'm pretty much required to attend the day before....have to wear business casual. I've been reading the previous questions / answers posted on here about it, seems like some of the best answers are contradicting though. Trying to figure out if ineed to go buy new clothes. I have the dress shirts that i wear under the suit jacket thing....but htey really don't look good without the jacket...slightly too big. Have some polos that i look good in. Not sure if polos are ok. Khakis i have a ton of, but seems like some people are saying khakis are too casual. Finally shoes....dress shoes that i wear with the suit?? I feel like those type of shoes shouldn't be worn with khakis ever...bastardizes the point of the shoes. Thanks

Answer: Business casual means a suit without the jacket or tie. No jeans, nice shirt (long sleeve is better....short sleeves look silly). Shirt tucked in and well groomed.
